Valentine’s Day Ideas: Try an Active Date!

February 5, 2016 Fitness 0 Comments

It’s that time of year again, and love is in the air! Many couples choose to have a romantic meal together or catch the latest romantic comedy. But why settle for the usual? This Valentine’s Day, skip the dinner reservations and endlessly long theater lines and opt for an active date instead! Engaging in physical activity releases endorphins, and endorphins make you feel great! They’re like a built-in wingman on your special day! Check out a few of our ideas for interesting active dates:

Valentine's Day ideas

Try indoor rock climbing. Put your strength to the test on an indoor rock climbing wall! Challenge your partner to a race to the top and see who can ring the bell first. Even if the date isn’t working out like you expected, don’t worry – the harness will always be there to catch you if you fall.

Visit a trampoline park. Giant trampoline parks are the biggest new trend in entertainment, and so far they have been a hit with people of all ages. Show off your favorite moves like a front flip or dive into the foam pit. You can always blame your racing heart on the trampolines!

Go ice skating together. Even as we look toward an early spring, we still have a few weeks of winter left to go. Embrace the ultimate winter activity – and each other! – by visiting an ice skating rink. Whether you’re wobbly on the skates or a seasoned pro, your partner will love laughing with you on the ice!

Hike to a waterfall. Fill up your backpacks with healthy snacks and hit the trails! Check hiking websites for your local area and see which trails you can try on a date! Many trails have hidden gems like waterfalls and wildlife along the way that will make your time together extra romantic!

Rent a paddleboat and set sail. We’ll be honest here – steering the paddleboat is usually much harder than it looks! Give your arms a great workout steering while your legs do all the work to move the boat. It’s a full body workout, and it’s fun, too!
